Leon is recognized globally for his thought leadership and expertise in assistingleading financial institution clients with financial and non-financial risk and capital management and governance solutions. He has served as a senior Deloitte Partner for more than 20 years both in Canada and globally, including several terms as an Executive Board member of Deloitte's Global Financial Services Industry (GFSI) practice. He also served as the firm's GFSI Global Deputy Managing Partner for more than 12 years.He specializes in the area of risk and capital management and risk governance and has extensive global experience advising regulators (including the Basel Committee on Banking Supervision) deposit insurers, major financial institutions and rating agencies on related issues. He is a co-architect of Deloitte's Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) methodology and has led its implementation in leading financial institutions.

 
Jalil Saqib Jalil, Manager, Financial Accounting Advisory Services, EY

Saqib has more than 10 years of experience in professional service firms and industry. Saqib has diverse experience in audit, IFRS and US GAAP based financial reporting for multi-currency groups, budgeting and forecasting and transaction services. Saqib is member of The Institute of Chartered Accountants of Alberta.

He performed as Lead Coordinator for annual audits and half-yearly reviews by auditors for an oil and gas company and led statutory audits for engineering, construction, pharmaceutical, steel, trading and non-profit entities. Saqib has advised companies on complex financial reporting issues, managed financial reporting of publicly listed companies and oil and gas ventures.

 
Lagamayo Leah Lagamayo, Accounting Specialist, Nutrien

Leah Lagamayo is a highly skilled accounting specialist with +15 years of experience in the field of financial reporting and accounting research. She has significant knowledge of the U.S. and Canadian regulatory requirements as well as the best practices in financial disclosures. She is currently part of the External Reporting group in Nutrien (formerly Agrium). Previous to her role with Nutrien, she worked with Ernst and Young in the Financial Accounting Advisory Services and Audit groups.

Rebecca Moen, CPA CA, started her career at Ernst & Young in Calgary in the core assurance group where she worked with publicly listed entities in the Energy market, before ultimately becoming a Manager in the firm's National Accounting & Assurance practice. Rebecca joined the ASC in 2006.

 
Persaud Roger Persaud, Senior Securities Analyst, Corporate Finance Division, Alberta Securities Commission (ASC)

Roger Persaud, CPA, CA, began his career at the ASC in 2008 and prior to that worked in the Corporate Reporting group at Frontline Ltd. in England, PwC in Bermuda, and KPMG in Calgary. He is also a member of the Chartered Professional Accountants of Alberta.
